Institutionalization of Hindustani Classical Vocal Music in West Bengal Higher Education
Abstract
At the end of the British rule, Vishnu Digambar Paluskarji and Vishnu Narayan Bhatkhandeji were pioneers in introducing institutional music education system in India. On the other hand in Bengal (West Bengal), Sir Shourindra Mohan Tagore with the help of Kshetramohan Goswami founded a music school by the name of ' Bangasangeet Vidyalaya' in 1871. Letter in 1897, ' Ramsharan Music School' begins his journey followed by Bishnupur Gharana. In 1901, ' Brahmacharyashram' was established by Rabindranath Tagore in Bolpur, West Bengal, which later took the form of Visva-Bharati University in 1921 and music became a subject in higher education. After independence, in 1959, the west bengal government took the initiative to established a university in the name of Rabindranath at Jorasanko Thakurbari on the occasion of Rabindranath's birth centenary. As a result, Rabindra Bharati University was established on January 10, 1962 which opened another New horizon in the institutional music education of West Bengal higher education. In the letter case, the music education system of other Universities and affiliated colleges in West Bengal have created the field of research and the educational system to follow Visva-Bharti and Rabindra Bharati University. In this research paper I want to show how Hindustani classical vocal music takes place in several higher education institutions in West Bengal.

Navigating Ideological Divergence: Nehru, Bose and Gandhi’s Interpose
Abstract
The political scenario of India’s freedom struggle was shaped by the ideological and strategic differences among its remarkable leaders. Gandhi’s emergence as the ideologue for the Congress political party deeply influenced the perspectives of its two most eminent leaders during the British period, namely, Jawaharlal Nehru and Subhas Chandra Bose. However, despite their relentless struggle to free their motherland from imperial rule, their ideological paths diverged forever due to their fundamental differences in approaches and visions for independent India. Both Nehru and Bose were ardent nationalists, dedicated their life for India’s freedom, although their ideologies and concepts to achieve this objective were contrasting. Nehru was deeply influenced by Gandhi’s principles of nonviolence and democratic socialism. Nehru envisioned India’s future within a parliamentary democratic framework. Bose, in contrast, supported a bold and direct approach, emphasizing direct confrontation with British imperialism. These differences became apparent as Bose’s aspirations diverged sharply from Nehru’s visions, leading to an inevitable clash that ultimately forced him to walk away from the Congress. A crucial factor that created a division between Nehru and Bose was the role played by Gandhiji. His commitment to non violent and democratic ideology closely aligned with Nehru’s vision but contradicted with Bose’s radical and revolutionary approaches. The 1939 Tripuri Congress session marked a turning point that brought about a significant change in India’s political landscape. While Gandhiji and Nehru stood on one side, Bose took a different path, creating a rift that would never align in the same direction again.
This research paper seeks to explore the ideological contrasts between Nehru and Bose, critically evaluating their differing personalities, visions and approaches during the freedom struggle. Additionally, it delves into the direct or indirect role of Gandhi in creating an environment that led to the cleft between Nehru and Bose.

Mediating the relationship between socioeconomic status and health disparities: A Systematic review on Media health literacy
Abstract
Media Health literacy is the skill that individuals gain to interpret health information and use their knowledge to impart health related information. In the global world of information spreading the proper understanding of messages are essential to attain health literacy. It is explained as the behavioural concept i.e. acquired by changing aspects of life. Media plays a special role as educator and social media itself as informants to users. Socio Economic conditions, communication aspect-language, message interpretation, cultural-beliefs, geographical conditions form the barrier. The message should flow from down to top as the target is individual and then from the public to society as a whole.
The paper tries to identify the gap in communicating health literacy in the information splendour world. Target is to identify the major disparities for Media health literacy. A systematic review was conducted to identify how social determinants are interrelated with health. The belief in traditional health care, communication gap, low economic living conditions etc. form the main reason for this disparity. Communication problems such as either language barriers or illiteracy are also the social determinants existing in the heterogeneous population where migration and immigration is taking place. Media can overcome this problem with more intervention among vulnerable sections. Communication can bridge gaps in balancing health literacy. Changing behavioural concepts and health beliefs has to be shaped according to the individual needs. Society with heterogeneous populations needs more care as individuals are the target group.

Observation Method: Role in Data Collection Types Advantages and Disadvantages
Abstract
The term observation stands for watching something or someone carefully, attentively and systematically. We as common men often come across many things, situations in our everyday life, but we do not pay enough attention to each of them. We see them mostly from a casual point of view hardly having any particular motive behind it.
But when we talk about the observation method in the context of research, it is counted in a different way altogether as the same thing is done differently from the casual seeing. There is a chain of systems that are followed by the researcher. Observation method of collecting data is one of the oldest techniques, and it is used mainly by both the scientists and social scientists.
This paper highlights the certain aspects of Observation method its role in data collection, significance in the research arena how it works what are its key benefits as well as its major drawbacks.

Communicating Climate Knowledge: A Media-Centric SWOT Analysis of the National Mission on Strategic Knowledge for Climate Change
Abstract
Climate change is one of the most critical challenges facing India, requiring not only scientific research but also effective communication to ensure public understanding and policy support. The National Mission on Strategic Knowledge for Climate Change (NMSKCC), a component of India’s National Action Plan on Climate Change (NAPCC), aims to strengthen the country’s knowledge systems to support climate-related decision-making. This study presents a media-centric SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis of the NMSKCC, focusing on how climate knowledge is communicated and disseminated through various media channels. By examining official mission documents, related academic literature, and media reports, the paper evaluates the mission’s performance in raising awareness, promoting engagement, and influencing climate discourse in India. The analysis reveals key strengths such as institutional support and knowledge generation, but also highlights weaknesses including limited public outreach and inadequate media integration. Opportunities exist to enhance strategic communication, especially through digital platforms and public service media, while threats include misinformation, low media literacy, and fragmented communication efforts. The study concludes with suggestions for improving the mission’s visibility and impact by aligning its objectives with more inclusive, transparent, and media-friendly communication strategies.

Gendered Perspective of AI Assisted Consumer Behaviour
Abstract
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is reshaping how consumers shop, interact with brands, and receive marketing messages. From personalized product suggestions to smart chatbots and virtual assistants, AI is designed to make shopping more convenient. But behind these high-tech tools lies an important question: how does AI affect consumers differently based on gender? This study explores how gender norms and stereotypes influence and is influenced by AI-driven marketing. As, AI learns from existing data, it can unintentionally replicate out dated gender biases. For example, men may be shown ads for financial services or tech products, while women might see ads for household goods or lower-paying job roles. These patterns aren’t just marketing choices they reflect and reinforce societal stereotypes. The research dives into how AI-powered tools, like recommender systems and algorithmic pricing models, may treat male and female consumers differently. It also asks whether these differences impact how men and women trust or respond to AI suggestions. Do female consumers feel alienated when product recommendations don’t reflect their real needs or identities? By analysing surveys, sentiment data, and experimental findings, the study uncovers both the psychological and behavioural effects of gendered AI on consumers. It also highlights the ethical and legal challenges businesses face in ensuring AI is fair and inclusive. To move forward, the study calls for gender-sensitive AI design. This means using diverse training data, transparent algorithms, and regular bias checks. Ultimately, AI can create better consumer experiences—but only if it respects and reflects the diversity of the people it serves. Future research should also consider how identity factors like age, ethnicity, and class intersect with gender in shaping AI-driven consumer behavior.

Thematic Overview of Sylvia Plath’s Poetry
Abstract
Thematic Overview of Sylvia Plath’s Poetry
Shalini Gupta
Associate Professor, C.R. College of Education, Hisar
Email: gshalini328@gmail.com
Abstract
Sylvia Plath's poetry has largely been recognized as the most powerful voice of the century. Her poetry is characterized as highly personal and emotional and capable of exploring the deepest aspects of the human mind. The most usual method to read Sylvia Plath is a confessional one in which the poems are honest, open and earthy. There is frankness of emotion, not concealment of it, and the inner recesses are exposed. The objects are not beautiful at all; material previously deemed 'unpoetic' is elevated! It is true that Plath. is a confessional poet, but the way she deals with this element is unique. Through her technique of communication, her poetry seizes the reader like the control of a skier who avoids any death-trap until reaching the final drop. Illustrating a range of themes in the poetry, Sylvia Plath reflects partial inhibition in the early days of her career with total change in the later years. This paper provides a thematic overview of her poetry. There are frequent themes that one finds in her work such as – death, sickness, suicide, identity, womanhood, nature, and rebirth. The way these subjects are dealt with by the poet is interesting. By all these subjects, Plath showed that she could turn personal pain into long-lasting poetic expression.

Confessional poetics • Death as creative force • Nature as psychological mirror • Feminist critique • Gender power dynamics • Suicidal imagery

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and INA: Architect of Armed Resistance and International Alliances in India’s Freedom Struggle
Abstract
This paper attempts to explore the pivotal role of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and the Indian National Army (INA) in India’s struggle for independence from British colonial rule, emphasizing his unique path of armed struggle and international alliances. Despite the mainstream non-violent approach led by Mahatma Gandhi, Netaji chose a militant and international strategy to fight imperialism. His revolutionary vision, leadership qualities, and indomitable spirit established him as one of the most influential figures in India's independence movement.
The present paper highlights Netaji’s early life, education, ideological journey, political career, and leadership role in the Indian National Congress. It also examines his international diplomacy with Axis powers (Germany and Japan) during World War II and the reorganization of the INA. A major finding of the study is the nationwide impact of the INA trials in 1945 which shook the very foundations of the British government and gave a new energy and strength to the national movement.
In conclusion, while Netaji’s dream of liberating India through armed struggle was not fulfilled, the path he chose was truly unique – one rarely seen in history. His courage and deep patriotism continue to inspire generations. Even today, his lifelong dedication to the nation motivates millions of Indians.

Awakening the Self, Serving the World: The Integrated Philosophy of Vivekananda
Abstract
Swami Vivekananda (1863-1902) was a pivotal figure in modern Indian history and a key exponent of Vedanta philosophy to the Western world. The paper explores Vivekananda’s philosophy, arguing that it represents a dynamic synthesis of traditional Advaita Vedanta, a fervent commitment to social reform, and a pragmatic approach to spirituality applicable to everyday life. It roots into his core philosophical tenets, including the inherent divinity of the soul, the oneness of existence, the importance of selfless service (Karma Yoga), and the universality of religions. Further, it examines how Vivekananda reinterpreted Vedanta to address the pressing social problems of his time, advocating for education, poverty alleviation, and the upliftment of marginalized communities. The paper also explores his concept of “Practical Vedanta” and its emphasis on applying spiritual principles to practical life, fostering personal growth, ethical conduct, and social harmony. Ultimately, the paper posits that Vivekananda’s philosophy transcends traditional metaphysics, offering a holistic framework for individual and collective transformation, relevant even in the complexities of the 21st century.

Abstract

A Study on Impact of Socio-Political and Economic Leadership of Women in Northeast India
Abstract
The role of women in leadership positions is critical for achieving inclusive development and equitable governance, particularly in diverse and multi-ethnic regions like Northeast India. This study examines the impact of women's socio-political and economic leadership across the eight states of Northeast India, where traditional matrilineal systems coexist with deep-rooted patriarchal norms. Despite cultural variations, women have emerged as influential figures in community decision-making, local governance, civil society, and economic entrepreneurship. The research employs a mixed-method approach, combining survey data, case studies, and interviews with women leaders in political institutions, self-help groups, educational sectors, and entrepreneurial ventures. The study identifies key drivers that contribute to women’s leadership, such as education, grassroots activism, community support, and government schemes. It also highlights significant challenges including gender-based discrimination, political marginalization, limited access to financial resources, and lack of institutional support. Findings reveal that women leaders have played a transformative role in promoting social justice, enhancing local governance, improving health and education outcomes, and fostering economic self-reliance at the grassroots level. However, the study emphasizes that systemic barriers continue to restrict broader participation of women in mainstream politics and economic decision-making processes. This research underscores the need for gender-sensitive policies, capacity-building programs, and inclusive platforms that recognize and strengthen the leadership potential of women in Northeast India. It concludes that empowering women in leadership roles not only uplifts communities but also contributes to the region’s long-term socio-political stability and economic growth.

Exploration of Divergent Translations and Algebraic Characteristics of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Ideals in Diverse Algebraic Systems
Abstract
This study investigates the complex landscape of intuitionistic fuzzy ideals (IFIs) within a variety of algebraic structures, focusing on their divergent translations and associated algebraic properties. Intuitionistic fuzzy sets, which extend classical fuzzy sets by incorporating degrees of both membership and non-membership, provide a robust framework for modeling uncertainty. Their application in abstract algebra gives rise to intuitionistic fuzzy ideals—generalized forms of classical ideals—that enhance reasoning in uncertain environments. The research analyzes how IFIs behave under convolutional fuzzy translation in BCK/BCI-algebras and explores anti-intuitionistic fuzzy ideals using level-set based translations. Additionally, it introduces Cartesian product operations over opposite IF α-translations within division HA-algebras, offering new structural interpretations. The study draws upon advanced decision-making models and distance measures from fuzzy set theory to substantiate its theoretical findings with practical implications. By bridging intuitionistic fuzzy logic with abstract algebra, the paper contributes to a deeper understanding of uncertainty modeling, laying the groundwork for innovations in mathematics, decision sciences, engineering and computer applications.

Abstract

Changing Land Use Pattern in Bhagwanpur Tahsil (Haridwar District): A Geographical Study
Abstract
This paper analyses the spatio-temporal dynamics of land use and land cover (LULC) of Bhagwanpur Tahsil, Haridwar District, in terms of remote sensing and GIS in a twenty-year time period (20012021). The analysis is done relying on the Landsat satellite data acquired by United States Geological Survey (USGS) to determine the nature, extent and pattern of land use change. The paper shows that there has been a great way of transformation in the major categories of land use, especially the built-up area has increased significantly signaling about the fast urbanization and the infrastructural growth in the area. Simultaneously, the agricultural land has experienced a commendable decrease indicating the growing demand of non-agricultural activities and alteration of the socio-economic state of affairs. The vegetation cover has also been increasing moderately, largely through the plantation and natural regeneration and the water bodies have not been changing drastically with slight changes. The decreasing number of unused and barren (fallow) land also points to the increased use of land in the course of time. The results indicate the increasing influence of anthropogenic factor on land resources and the necessity of planning land-use systematically, sustainability of development policies, and proper management of available resources. The research gives important geographical information to the policymakers and planners so that land use may be balanced and environmentally sustainable development attained in Bhagwanpur Tahsil.
